Good Friday – What it Means for Church Technology

Guest post by Reagan Lynn

Good Friday: The day that evokes more solemn reflection than perhaps any other day of the year. In a world of endless activity and mounting turmoil, our thoughts are silenced as our attention becomes fixed on one man: Jesus, the Son of God.

The message of Christ’s death and resurrection has spread and endured the tests of time and persecution over the past two thousand years. Our world today is bigger and yet much smaller than it was on the first Good Friday. The means by which we communicate the Gospel Message have grown in number over the past century, especially in the last few decades.

The birth of the internet and the advancement of communication technology are enormously impactful developments for spreading the Gospel. God has blessed us with new ministry tools to spread a timeless message: Outreach-driven church websites, mobile apps, church software for tracking communication with members and visitors – the list goes on.

One such ministry tool, a Church Management System, is a helpful resource to have during your busy Easter season at church. These events can lead to making new connections with visitors, or deepening your relationship with your congregation members. Implementing a service like this can mean that you are making sure no one falls through the cracks when it comes to reaching others and expanding your ministry.

So, this Good Friday – and every day this year – let’s resolve together to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and to connect more meaningfully with our fellow believers by leveraging the incredible tools that we’ve been blessed with.

And remember, Good Friday is not the end of the story… He is risen!
